Old Car Alert Issue #1 July 2010Hello! This is our first issue of "Old Car Alert". (((SIGN UP LINK COMING SOMEDAY... after we get the website more filled out))) You could think of this newsletter as a Junkyard Junkeez "activity report". With the website being constructed piece by piece right now, we thought it would be a good time to show you a few pictures here to wet your appetite! Junkyard Junkeez pretty much revolves around a guy named Sam. He's been in love with old cars since he was knee high to a '57 Chevy. But let's get on with the pictures!
The two photos above are of Sam's scrapyard at his farm. In the second shot you can see some of Sam's old trucks lined up along the pasture fence.
The two pictures above show a little more of his stash. Two crusty Tri Fives and a T Bird nesting in the grass. Sam's collection at the farm will be probably be featured as our first "Hillbilly Hoard".
Don't leave home without a camera! When the "Road Show" section is up and running, here on the web site, we'll be adding pictures of any cool cars that we can catch as they're cruising by. It will also be a place for other cars that we only have a chance to snap a quick photo of on our way past. Like this orange car across a swampy ditch. (we'll be back to get a closer look at you, creamsicle!)
Sam's got quite a thing for pink as you'll get to see. He's been keeping an eye on this little pink and grey 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air. She is still resting in this same spot where he first noticed her four years ago. Look for her in the "Old Car Perspectives" section, (when we get it loaded up on the web site) where we will follow her from year to year.
Here is a favourite couple of ours. They've been hanging out in this location for quite a while. We've visited with them a few times and never get tired of snapping more pictures of the: "Two Old Fords At The End Of The Road". You can find out more about them in the "Old Car Perspectives" section on the website (when we have it up and running.) Tune in to follow their retirement years.
We hope to re-visit the 1957 Chevrolet duo pictured in the field above. We've heard they are moving west to a new home. Hopefully we'll get to show you a new batch of pictures of these two old gals, in a brighter light, before they go. Click here to see slide show of our second visit to the '57 Chevys!
We'll also be showing you a "Fantastic Farm" collection that will give you Ford fever! You'll notice there's a little of everything in this Ford lover's collection… click here to see a few pictures of this big Ford hoard of old cars and trucks... Now, if we can just quit looking at old cars and… get this website up for you! Ah, decisions, decisions. Until next issue... take 'er easy eh? ~ Junkyard Junkeez ~ |
