Here are all 6 of the Old Car Hunting episodes.
Join us as we go out looking for cars on a summer day in July 2010.
These are the first videos we put on YouTube.
(Later we learned how to upload in better definition!)
Maybe we will see you there as a subscriber! ;-)
The first episode below shows what we were seeing as we cruised around and how we came upon the old homestead that had 3 cars in the pasture.
We drove around some backroads and enjoyed the views of yellow and green fields.
The old buildings out in the country are always interesting to us when we are old car hunting. So it's a bonus that the cars we find are usually lurking near old architecture of some type.
Old Car Parts
Sam looks around some old car parts in this farmyard.
There's 2 sets of fenders resting at this yard site. He estimates they belong to 1939 and 1946 Plymouth cars.
Then he digs into a sheet metal photo shoot.
1946 Plymouth Farm Find
Let Sam give you the scoop on this 1946 Plymouth he found in the trees.
He shows you how this old gal's had a hard life on the roads in Canada back in the day.
1946 Dodge Farm Find
Sam checks out a nice 1946 Dodge 2 door left in the pasture.
He loves the "10 foot" long side window and points out a tail light feature that isn't such a new design idea as you might have thought!
See how he shows respect and helps an old car to "rust in peace".
Homemade El Camino
Sam loves to find homemade "car-trucks". He says this is a homemade" El Camino" because it's a Chevrolet.
Watch as he checks over this 1952 Chevy to find out how it was made to use as a truck.
We were on our way home, well, actually we were headed to the cafe in time to have supper before it closed, but we spied this old farmyard just before dark.
The audio is a little low on this video because Sam doesn't have a microphone on as we take a quick look around.
Check out the 1962 Ford Galaxie sitting in the bush!
